Das Letzte Spiel: 1. Zwei Körper, 2.Vier Finger, 3. Fünf Körper. was part of The Basel Independent Circuit during Art Basel 2026. It was an art intervention in a villa that is already slated for demolition. The curatorial project of CienCień was called After Hours - Haus am Rhein. The house was understood as a living body and a vessel of history and social relations. It forms part of an architectural legacy associated with the family of Wilhelm Emil Baumgartner, whose work significantly shaped Basel's urban fabric. Within this context, the private gradually opens itself to the public, altering its status.

Das Letzte Spiel: 1. Zwei Körper, 2.Vier Finger, 3. Fünf Körper. Is a series of performative photographs in which I become simultaneously an actor and director of a final encounter with the building. My body enters into dialogue with the architecture: echoing the shape of a window, measuring itself against a staircase, responding to the proportions of a wall. The title oscillates between two meanings of the word play: a children's game and a theatrical act. It is about spontaneously inhabiting a space one has lived in, and at the same time an awareness that this is the final act before the curtain falls.

This is an encounter between two bodies, the human and the architectural, recognising each other at a material level before they have found a common language. The question that remains after this work is simple and difficult at once: how does the body remember space? And what of that memory persists when the space disappears?
