Franka Frankowska is a Polish-born multidisciplinary artist with an international education background.

After accomplishing the architectural studies at the University of Liechtenstein and TU Munich she has worked extensively in Switzerland, developing a keen interest in observing space and its aesthetic qualities, as well as how people inhabit, transform, and connect with it.

Currently studying at the Schule Friedl Kubelka and Akademie der bildenden Künste in Vienna, she focuses on expanded photography. Her practice blends performance and photography, treating the camera less as a recorder and more as a co-performer, and often develops into video and installation-based works. She explores grotesque and absurd gestures in public or intimate settings and develops research-based projects around anthropological inquiry.
